Task Force

The Lake City Police Department is a participating agency in a Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force. The Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force participating agencies are the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Agency and the Lake City Police Department Special Crimes Unit.

The goals and duties of this task force are the investigations of illegal narcotic sells and distribution. Vice crimes, such as prostitution, gambling and dog fighting are also investigated by this division.
